| overview | white lemon essential oil is an essential oil. It is distilled or squeezed from the fruit of the Rutaceae plant white lemon. Produced in the West Indies, Mexico and southeastern China. The aroma and physical and chemical properties of pressed oil and distilled oil are different. The pressed oil is a yellow to green-yellow clear liquid with a strong, lemon-like characteristic aroma. Relative density 0.874-0.882(20/30 ℃), refractive index 1.4820-1.4860. It mainly contains citral (up to 4.5-9%), linazol acetate (7-8%), limonene and non-volatile oil. Distilled oil is a colorless to pale yellow clear liquid with poor characteristic aroma. Relative density 0.856-0.865(20/20 ℃), refractive index 1.4740-1.4780. The content of citral and linalyl acetate is small (0.5-1.5% and 2-3.5% respectively) for flavor materials, spices and cosmetics. |
